US-Electric Transformadores, S.A. de C.V. is a specialist manufacturer and repairer of distribution transformers in Guadalupe, Nuevo León — the Monterrey industrial corridor, roughly 150 miles from the Laredo border crossing. The company designs, builds, tests, installs and services its transformers under one roof: engineering to client specification, an in-house electrical test laboratory, and a full maintenance and repair operation behind every unit it ships.

Pad-mounted, pole, station and dry-type units, oil-filled with mineral or biodegradable oil or dry construction, aluminum or copper windings. The manufacturer’s warranty, stated on the quotation — three years from shipment on current export quotations — backed by in-house repair capability, tank and coil inventory held in stock — the basis of its fast delivery times — and 25 years of manufacturing experience, with every unit tested before it leaves the plant.

Proven US-spec export experience

US Electric has built and shipped US-standard distribution transformers to the American market in prior export lots — pad-mounted and pole units built to US utility configurations and delivered across the border. This is not a factory learning the US market on your order; the product, the configurations and the cross-border logistics are already proven. US utility configurations in production run from single-phase pad-mounted units, loop and radial feed, to pole-types to 150 kVA; overland delivery runs Monterrey to Texas via the Laredo crossing, a corridor the plant already runs. UL listing status is confirmed per design on the quotation.

Quality & testing

Every unit tested before it ships

US Electric operates a dedicated electrical test laboratory to NMX-J-169-ANCE-2015, with quality control at every stage of manufacture. Routine tests on every unit and type tests per design family cover turns ratio, winding resistance, insulation resistance, no-load losses and excitation current, load losses and impedance, applied and induced voltage, winding power factor, lightning-impulse withstand, sweep frequency response, temperature rise, audible noise level and oil analysis including gas chromatography.

Beyond the factory gate. A manufacturer that also repairs: transformer design and electrical engineering to each project’s specification; predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance with diagnostics, thermographic analysis and oil degassing; coils and cores repaired and rebuilt in-house from teardown to total reconstruction; installation and commissioning; breaker maintenance, field testing and spare-part supply for substations; and bilingual technical support through the Silver River bridge.
